Rocket’s attitude and position calculation through instrument measurements unit (IMU) such as accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass; while the surveillance system is represented by a camera to take a picture from above. The attitude and the taken picture will be sent to the ground station. The system was made using a custom board controlled by ATMega32. The ground station GUI was built using VB.
The system flew over the coast of Parangtritis, Yogyakarta. It rode the RX-200 rocket made locally by LAPAN (Indonesian NASA). My homing system didn’t cut, so then the payload puffed into the vast southern ocean. Never coming back.
